Howdy! So happy you could join us, we are the Phippen’s. The Chama Trails Motel has been under our ownership since January of 2019. What an adventure this has been! We may not have had a background in hotel management, but Karlee has experience in hospitality and Austin in construction. We like to think this combination has worked well so far. We love getting to meet and host guests from all over the country, and even sometimes the world. You all inspire us to continue to improve the motel and make it a welcoming place for travelers to Chama.
When not working at the motel or our other businesses in town, you can find us with our sweet girls, Wrenley & Rylan, in the mountains, hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, & enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Isn’t that the reason why we all love Chama?
